My work often explores our relationship to spaces and the experience of moving through them or rooting amidst them. Tangled flora, remnants of architecture and vibrating roads frequently weave their way into the imagery.  A throng of ever growing applications are employed to cultivate these vibrant endeavors, including brush work, spray paint and cut stencils, as well as dense textures discovered through paper, fabric and found items. Comments on culture, memory and belief are regularly  layered into the art, adding to the way we each experience the perception of space and time.

     The gathering of each influence is layered, commemorating my personal culture of perambulatory wanderings. As the desire to keep exploring has carved a lifestyle, so has it influenced the themes within my work. I often allow the making process to dictate the direction and continued evolution of meanings, preferring to connect the dots as I go. As these visual expressions move ever forward, playful bursts reside in tandem with the rawness of an authentic human experience.
